Sweet & Tangy Glazed Irish Ham
Serves 8
A classic favourite for having guests over, this simple recipe is designed so that you can spend more time with your guests and less time in the kitchen!! A word about cloves.... some people like inserting them into the ham prior to cooking, however, do not forget to remove them or warn your guests – these flavour adding studs are not edible, they are quite hard! Another option to get that clove flavour is to use ground cloves and mix it into your glaze instead. Possibilities are endless!

Ingredients
  1. 8lb Irish Ham
  2. 1 FunniBonz Sweet & Tangy Mustard
  3. 1 Bart's Cloves (optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 250F.
  2. Take your ham, and score the outside with a sharp chef's knife.
  3. You want to make the lines about one inch apart.
  4. Make a “checkerboard” pattern using diagonal cuts.
  5. Once ham is scored, you can insert your cloves if you'll be using them.
  6. A good place to put them is at the intersections of your scoring handiwork.
  7. Place the ham in an oven pan, and set your timer!
  8. If you'll be glazing your ham, be ready to pull the ham out of the oven 30-60 minutes before it is ready.
  9. Carefully remove the ham from the oven, and lightly coat the entire ham with the Sweet & Tangy mustard using a silicone brush.
  10. Depending on the size of your ham (8 lbs or larger), you can do this in multiple stages if you'd like.
  11. Do it the first time at 60 minutes prior to finished, and then again at 30 minutes.
  12. Once your ham is ready, remove from the oven and get ready to slice and serve!!
Notes
  1. A good rule of thumb is to cook your ham 20 minutes per pound.
  2. An 8 lb ham would take approximately 2 hours and 35 minutes.
  3. The ham is actually already cooked, all you are doing is reheating, so don't worry about under-cooking it!
