Bake It with a Fantastic Marinade

Chicken is always a great meal if you’re looking for lean sources of protein. The problem is that sometimes when you prepare it wrong you get some dry meat with very little flavor. You don’t get those problems with the right marinade.

This particular marinade is inspired by Italian recipes, and it’s very easy to make. You just need a ¼ cup each of white vinegar and lemon juice, and some olive oil. Then put in about a tablespoon each of basil and dried parsley. Next come a ½ teaspoon each of cracked blacked pepper, salt, garlic powder, and dried oregano. Finally, put in a dash of chopped garlic.

Once all that’s done, you need to put in about a pound of chicken breasts into the marinade. Marinate the chicken for about 10 minutes at least. Now bake the chicken breasts in the oven at 425 degrees for a quarter of an hour as you relax. The juices will run clear when it’s done.

As you can see, you don’t really need a lot of fancy preparation, so don’t have to spend a lot of time looking for and preparing the ingredients. That makes it one of the best ways to prepare your chicken dish.

Grill Chicken Cubes on a Skewer

A proper meal needs lots of veggies, and you can have them with your chicken easily as well. In fact, you can just skewer your chicken and veggies and then grill them. Just get your skewers ready, and then make sure you get nice cubes of chicken breasts prepared. That shouldn’t take all that long.

Now get some of your favorite veggies ready for your grill. Chop them up into appropriate sizes. You can get zucchini, onions, and peppers. Just put one piece of veggie on the skewer, and then alternate with the cubes of chicken breasts.

If you want, you can even prepare your chicken breasts with the marinade we’ve mentioned earlier. Now your chicken meal doesn’t have to be boring at all. Yet at the same time, it requires very little effort on your part. Grab a drink with your buddies as you grill the chicken skewers, and afterwards have a nice time.

If you don’t know it yet, chicken and veggies contain very little calories, which is great when you’re trying to lose weight. A 3-ounce cooked chicken breast comes with just 142 calories and only 3 grams of fat. But you get a fantastic 26 grams of protein, which means you get half your recommended daily allowance of protein in just one meal. You also get less than half a gram of saturated fat in a single chicken breast serving, but you get lots of B vitamins for metabolizing food and for a quick energy fix.

Get It Stuffed with Lots of Goodies

This is another great way to prepare your chicken. By stuffing the chicken, you make sure you get interesting tastes, especially when you like to experiment. You don’t just taste your usual chicken. It’s also great because it’s easy to prepare. Despite the fact that you need to “stuff” the chicken, there’s actually very little effort involved.

You just start by flattening the chicken meat first. You can use a meat mallet for this. Once that’s done, you can try this stuffing we’ve come up with. Spread a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, fresh basil, and some olive oil on your flattened chicken, and then top them all off with a bit of garlic. Now fold in the sides to wrap the stuffing inside, and then secure those sides with some toothpicks.

Now you’re ready. Put it in the oven and set it to 350 degrees. Now you can wait for half an hour to get it ready. Maybe you can take in a relaxing shower while you wait, so that when you’re done showering the chicken is done cooking.

The stuffing here really makes a difference in making sure that your chicken never tastes boring. And use some creativity when you come up with your own stuffing concoction. If you’re trying to get fit and healthy, now is the time to put some nutritious veggies in the stuffing. Maybe you can put in some broccoli for a change. Spinach is also a great option. Just about anything can be used for the stuffing, and that means you never have to suffer through a boring chicken taste ever again.
